How We Treat

Physiotherapy – Our Techniques
Manual Therapy

Manual therapy is a technique physiotherapists use to apply pressure on the muscle or joint to release tension in order to relieve pain and improve the joint range of motion.

Our manual therapy technique involves hands-on manipulation and mobilization of muscles, joints, and soft tissues.
Active Release Technique

This is a gold standard treatment to break down scar tissue in muscle, tendons, and ligaments. This is used during in clinic appointments. There are over 500 customized protocols to target each individual soft tissue structure in the body.

Active release technique is used to break down scar tissue in soft tissue structures such as muscles, tendons, ligaments, and nerves
Ergonomic Assessment

Posture is often a common cause of many injuries. An ergonomic assessment of your posture in your work environment will help determine the root cause of your injury.

Medical Acupuncture

Medical acupuncture involves inserting sterile needles into muscles to stimulate increased blood flow to decrease inflammation and pain.

Sport Physiotherapy

Get to the root cause of sports injuries. Hands-on sport therapy and a progressive exercise program will rebuild the body to peak performance.

Post-Operative Physiotherapy

Post-operative therapy involves a customized manual therapy and exercise program which is critical to restoring full mobility, strength, and function.

Custom Orthotics

Often back, hip, knee, and ankle pain is caused by poor arch support in the foot. A mechanical assessment and a precisely moulded imprint of the foot are used to create custom orthotics.

Vestibular Rehabilitation

Our downtown Toronto office offers treatment for vestibular rehabilitation. Dizziness and vertigo are caused by a dysfunction in the vestibular organ which is located in the inner ear.
